RAINBOW ARTS PRECINCT_

The key aim of this project was to create a facility and spaces that are flexible enough to function on a day-to-day basis, in addition to being able to cater for major events, festivals and exhibitions. The masterplan has a range of external art, exhibition and performance spaces which differ in scale and associated amenity.

To minimise the project cost and to retain and build on the existing identity and layers of materials and history, the design retains existing pavements and proposes insertions, removals and overlays of renovation/branding and identity. A series of misting points installed to the underside of the existing walkway canopy will create a cool micro climate, cooling the school buildings and creating an iconic space for Rainbow.
